Loyola Welcomes New Mothers’ Guild and Fathers’ Club Presidents

With the new school year less than two months away, Loyola announced that Mona Schlater-Hewlett and Lee Sailor have graciously accepted the invitation to be the Mothers’ Guild President and Fathers’ Club President, respectively.
Mrs. Schlater-Hewlett is the mother of Julian Hewlett ’19, the sister of Theodore Schlater III ’80 and the aunt of Justin Hewlett-Bloch ’07 and Wesley Dufelmeier ’15.  In her short time at Loyola, she has made an impact as a member of the LMG Board as a co-chair of the Day of Reflection and also as a volunteer at Cub Corner.  As President of the 87-year-old Guild, Mrs. Schlater-Hewlett is committed to the camaraderie, friendship and fundraising that is an integral part of the organization.

A Fathers’ Club Board member from 2015 - 2017, Mr. Sailor plans to continue that emphasis in addition to expanding the number of fathers that actively participate, especially with their sons.

Loyola tallied 16 points, winning the Cup for the second consecutive year within its nine overall titles.
